Mercy Welcomes New President

Alumnae Association is Here to Serve

The mission of the Mercy High School Alumnae Association is to bring together Mercy students, past and present, while striving to:

• Support and affirm the mission statement of Mercy High School, including its values of: human dignity, mercy, justice, service, and option for the poor
• Participate in ongoing development efforts which provide financial support to Mercy High School
• Support the challenges of preparing young women for critical roles in contemporary society
• Recognize the achievements of Mercy students, past and present
• Create settings for the exchange of ideas and information to past and present Mercy students

We look forward to offering a variety of ways for you to connect with and support your Mercy family this coming year.  This is your Alumnae Association.  We always welcome your participation!

Upcoming Alumnae Association Events

Celebrate the Mercy Alumnae Legacy 

Eighty alumnae have a daughter (or two) currently enrolled at Mercy.  If you are a Mercy alumna-mom, you are invited to join us for a mother-daughter dinner to celebrate the Mercy Alumnae Legacy on Tuesday, October 12 from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm in the Mercy Media Center.  Contact the Alumnae Office at alumnaeoffice@mhsmi.org or call 248.476.3270 by October 6.

Book Club

The Alumnae Book Club meets the third Tuesday of the month from 6:30 to 8:00 pm in the Mercy Advancement Office.  October's selection is Shadow Baby by Alison McGhee.  To be notified of future meetings, contact the Alumnae Office at alumnaeoffice@mhsmi.org or call 248.476.3270.

Dine for Dollars at Max & Erma's

Why not give yourself a break from cooking and support Mercy High School at the same time?  Stop by for lunch, dinner, or carry out at Max & Erma's, 31205 Orchard Lake Rd., Farmington Hills.  Twenty percent of your sales (not including gift certificate sales) will benefit the Mercy Alumnae Association Tuition Assistance Fund.

Visit Class Reunions for details about upcoming reunions.  The classes of 1962, 1970, 1990, 2000, and 2005 are busy making reunion plans!

Open House

We need you!  Please help keep enrollment strong at Mercy by inviting young girls and their families to tour Mercy and discover what it means to be part of the Mercy community!

If someone you know cannot attend the Open House, have her look into our Shadow a Student program, offered by Admissions.  Contact Maureen Stirling Weiss '96 or Jennifer Stark at 248.476.2484.

Applauding Alumnae in Performing Arts

This year we are "Applauding Women in Performing Arts," and that means sharing success stories of our talented Mercy grads.  Are you acting, directing, singing, or teaching performing arts?  Involved in special effects, makeup, costuming, or set construction?  We want to hear your story.  Contact the Alumnae Office at alumnaeoffice@mhsmi.org or call 248.476.3270. 

And don't miss Mercy's Fall Play, Little Women, November 12-14.  It's sure to be a delight!
