Book: Algebra 1; Bellman et all; Prentice Hall; 2004

 

Grading: Accumulative point system for each semester.

Quizzes and work sheets = 5 to 20 points

Tests = 60 to 100 points                             

Daily Homework = 2 points. *

Final exams = 100 to 120 points

 

First semester will cover chapters 1 to 6

Second semester will cover chapters 7 to 12

 

Some Rules:

 

1.  Be on time.

 

2.  Please, no talking during lecture time.

 

3.  If you have a question, put your hand up and wait to be called.

 

4.  You must ask for permission to leave the room.

 

5.  All make-up work must be made up within one cycle.

 

6.  The teacher is the final authority on any topic what-so-ever.

 

7.      Only Homework that is completed, corrected and written in pencil or on the tablet will receive full credit

 

Materials:  pencils, ruler, a notebook for notes, loose leaf paper for homework, graph paper and a red pen.  A graphing calculator of the TI-83 family is highly recommended.

 

*Rules for Homework

 

1.  Homework must be done in pencil and on loose leaf paper or on the tablet.

2.      Each assignment must have a date and page, problem numbers and section number on the upper left- hand corner.

3.      Homework will be collected every day and checked for completeness.

4.      Correct and complete problem using a red pen

5.      It is your responsibility to have the correct solution for each and every problem.

6.      Completed and corrected homework will be worth 2 points. 

7.      Incomplete and or incorrect work will be worth one or zero points depending on the level of completeness and legibility.

8.      Late homework will not receive full credit.
